Just started doodling randomly yesterday and this came up.

The Gossip-Whisperers are a race of creatures living in domesticated areas that use their frog/lizard-like physique to climb up to windows and listen in to peoples conversations, to later spread it to their own, or anyone willing to pay them enough.
This behavior prevented them from being whiped out by predators in the past, and they've now become a crusial part of the shadier sides of society as well as politics.
The males paint their facemasks in bold colors and patterns by dipping their long claws in paint and stroking it over the mask to attract female attention, the more beautiful the pattern, the more attractive the male is.
Though you can't say that it's practical when eaves-dropping, they're still amazing at what they do.
